The players have established a series of events to help raise vital funds and awareness for their chosen charity partners.
The EFF Events Programme currently includes an annual eight-a-side football tournament and an exclusive black tie gala dinner, which takes place in every tournament year. The players will be announcing new and exciting events soon.
Lions and Roses Gala
Every tournament year, the players come together to host the EFF flagship event, Lions and Roses.
In May 2016, days before the squad left for the European Championships, guests from the worlds of sport, music and entertainment came together for an unforgettable evening of fundraising that included a surprise guest appearance from football legend, Pele, who turned up in support of the players and their charity work.
Football fanatic Jack Whitehall hosted the event and treated guests to an exclusive stand up show, whilst Brit Award winner, James Bay, was on hand to provide a special music set with Gary Neville joining him on stage on the guitar with Wayne Rooney providing backing vocals for his multi-award winning single, Hold Back The River.
England captain Wayne Rooney said: “It was a great night in aid of some fantastic causes and we’re delighted to do our bit and help our chosen charity partners in any way we can.”
